BOTOX AND DERMAL FILLERS
Our highly skilled team at Ambani Center for OBGYN & Aesthetics understands that every person coming into the office deserves a personalized, one-of-a-kind treatment plan. Everyone’s facial features are distinct and will change with time and the natural aging process. The first signs of aging are the appearance of fine lines and deeper creases, sometimes running across the forehead, around the eyes, the sides of the nose, and the along the corners of the mouth. Volume loss from losing fat and bone is to blame for some of these changes that may make you appear tired and unhappy. Injectable fillers are one of the easiest methods for easing these lines and restoring smooth, youthful looking facial features and skin without surgery.
We offer a variety of services, including the range of soft tissue fillers designed to lift and smooth the skin under the eyes, cheeks, lips, jawline, temples and chin. Dermal fillers can create a subtle yet significant improvement in your overall appearance, restoring a refreshed, youthful look.

BOTOX Cosmetic, also known as Botulinum Type A, is derived from a bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. It is produced under very closely controlled laboratory conditions and then administered by Dr. Ambani in exceedingly small therapeutic doses to treat unwanted facial lines and wrinkles. BOTOX is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures performed in the United States.
FAQs
Normally your brain sends electrical messages to your muscles instructing them to contract and produce movement. BOTOX Cosmetic works by blocking these messages from being received by the muscle that has been injected. The muscle relaxes, and the overlying wrinkle is diminished or erased. This procedure provides predictable and reliable relief of symptoms.
BOTOX Cosmetic administration is one of many procedures that may be performed safely in the office by Dr. Ambani A fine needle is used to inject the involved muscles. Some patients report very minor and temporary discomfort during treatment.
BOTOX Cosmetic may be used to treat forehead lines, frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow's feet (next to the eyes), smile or laugh lines (around the mouth and eyes), and banding that sometimes occurs in the neck.
Effects are usually seen within a few days and reach maximum benefit by fourteen days following injection.
To maintain the effects, treatments are usually required two to three times a year. BOTOX Cosmetic treatment may be repeated indefinitely. Currently BOTOX Cosmetic has been used safely for over twenty years worldwide. Acceptable safety in long-term treatment has been well established.
It is important to remember that BOTOX Cosmetic is not a permanent solution for troubling wrinkles because the effects are not permanent. For many patients, however, the effects have been quite dramatic. Although individual results vary, the results achieved from a single treatment usually last three to six months. You will notice a gradual fading of the effects. When you begin to notice the effects subsiding, you may choose to make another appointment with Dr. Ambani for further injections.
BOTOX Cosmetic is not a replacement for surgery because the effects are not permanent. However, BOTOX Cosmetic may be used repeatedly, or may give you an idea of the results that may be achieved if a more permanent procedure is chosen, such as a facelift, forehead lift, eyelid surgery, chemical peel, dermabrasion or facial laser resurfacing. Ask Dr. Ambani for more information about these procedures and others.
BOTOX Cosmetic should not be used if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking certain medications. For instance, the effects may be increased with the use of certain antibiotics. Make sure that Dr. Ambani is aware of any medications that you are currently taking. BOTOX Cosmetic also contains certain proteins. In some circumstances your body may mount an immune response to these proteins. When this occurs, your body may no longer respond to treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic.

Injectable soft tissue fillers may be used to enhance the lips or to fill in lines and creases that may develop as we age and the effects of gravity, smiling, chewing, and squinting take their toll. There are several options to treat these conditions, hyaluronic acid-based fillers such as Juvederm® and other products. During your consultation, Dr. Ambani will help you make the right choice for your individual situation.
These techniques may also be used to enhance the results of another procedure, such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, facelifting, or brow lifting. Dr. Ambani can help guide your selection of the most appropriate treatment or combination of treatments to help you achieve the appearance you desire. Soft tissue fillers have their differences, and it is important to understand these differences prior to selecting a particular treatment. Individual results with soft tissue fillers vary a great deal, and this phenomenon is not completely understood. Some patients do maintain the injected volume for years, but in other patients the results may fade after only a few months. Longevity of a treatment may also be related to the muscle activity in the area. Areas with intense, repetitive muscle activity seem to metabolize the fillers more rapidly than areas with less muscle activity. Because of this, soft tissue filler injections are sometimes combined with Botox® injections to paralyze the regional muscles and prolong the effects of the injectable filler.
Hyaluronic Acid -Juvederm®
A naturally occurring protein found in human skin, hyaluronic acid has replaced collagen as the current state of the art in soft tissue fillers. A rapidly growing number of injections are performed every year, making hyaluronic acid soft tissue filler injections the second most popular nonsurgical procedure in the United States after Botox injections. There is no risk of allergic reaction, and hyaluronic acid products typically last much longer than collagen before they are reabsorbed by the body.
After the Procedure
No bandages are necessary following treatment with injectable fillers, and you are able to apply makeup, a moisturizer, or sunscreen immediately following injection.
The Results You Can Expect
You will notice an improvement in the contour of your face immediately. A very mild swelling usually takes several days to subside. You should be able to resume your normal daily activities the day after your procedure, and you should be able to resume all of your physical activities within several days of your procedure.
